Three businesses got here collectively on Sunday to rejoice ‘St. Paw-trick’s Day’ and assist an animal rescue organization.

Little Rays of Sunshine Animal Rescue partnered with Sarah’s Yoga Studio and Party Perfectly to host a Puppy Yoga occasion at 9 a.m. Sunday morning.

Sarah Judd, the yoga teacher mentioned it was greater than only a enjoyable exercise.

“Puppy yoga is kind of part yoga, part adoption event, part fundraiser [and] part socializ[ing] the puppies so that they know they’re going to find a happy home,” she mentioned.

Half of the ticket proceeds went to the rescue and the opposite half to Sarah’s Yoga Studio. Little Rays of Sunshine raised roughly $200 from the occasion.

Kelly Curl runs Little Rays of Sunshine along with her daughter and mentioned the organization has 20 to 25 puppies up for adoption.

“It’s really nice because the puppies get socialized and it’s kind of hard to do when it’s just me and them at home,” Curl mentioned

Curl’s organization takes in deserted puppies and will get them vetted and prepared for adoption. She mentioned the purpose is to seek out all of the puppies a loving home.

Judd acquired her puppy from a earlier occasion with Little Rays of Sunshine. She mentioned the vacations are an effective way to convey publicity to the puppies.

“People are always looking for something fun to do on the holiday,” Judd mentioned. “Our last holiday we did was Valentine’s Day.”
