Alyssa Rondon, a 33-year-old girl from Clifton Springs, has been arrested on expenses of animal cruelty and abandonment. Before her scheduled eviction from her East Main Street residence on January 4, Rondon left the property, abandoning two gray kittens and a tan German Shepherd.
The Ontario County Humane Society found the animals in a deplorable state. The residence was affected by urine, feces, and rotting meals, with no meals or water left for the pets. The animals have been additionally discovered to be infested with fleas and gnats.
After a warrant was issued, Rondon was arrested at a Geneva motel by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. She was then taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment. Meanwhile, the rescued kittens and canine at the moment are receiving care on the Happy Tails Animal Shelter, underneath the supervision of the Ontario County Humane Society.
