CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A Cleveland policeman broadened her family, both at home and on the job, after embracing a dog she discovered while on patrol.
CPD said Ptl. Santa discovered the dog, who was badly malnourished, at around 5:05 p.m. on July 30 near MLK.
CPD said the dog rapidly heated up to the officer, and was offered a a few of the officer’s turkey sandwich and water prior to being required to Cleveland Kennels.
Police said no one selected the dog up after being put on a 72-hour hold.
Officer Santa then embraced the dog, now called Luna, for herself.
