A male who was consistently stabbed while out strolling his dog in Christchurch has actually passed away.

The male, aged in his 60s, was hurried to healthcare facility after members of his household discovered him seriously hurt near the Pages Rd entryway to Bexley Reserve in the city’s east about 6.20 am on November 14.

He passed away in Christchurch Healthcare facility on Tuesday, authorities verified.

Members of his household headed out searching for him after his dog, which was unscathed, returned house alone.

Bailey Messervy, 18, and a 23-year-old female were jailed after authorities browsed 2 homes in Corhampton St, Aranui, simply 500m from the reserve, 2 days after the attack.

Messervy was charged with injuring with intent to trigger severe physical damage, and the 23-year-old was charged with triggering severe physical damage with intent.

The set were both remanded in custody when they appeared in the Christchurch District Court recently.

The female and the victim have name suppression.
