Authorities in Middlesex County are investigating the loss of life of an toddler Saturday in what’s believed to have been an attack by the household canine.
At 6:17 a.m. Saturday, Avenel Township police obtained a name for an unresponsive child on Mereline Avenue, based on a police assertion. Authorities stated the toddler was “believed to have been attacked by the family dog.”
Officers discovered the mom and the child with critical accidents from the canine and the child was pronounced useless on the scene, officers stated. The mom and father have been transported to the hospital for remedy, authorities stated.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office didn’t instantly reply to questions Saturday.
