Passers-by gave a double take after they noticed a smartly-dressed canine sitting in a police van.
The pooch, who was sporting a buttoned-up blue denim shirt, had been confiscated by officers from its feminine proprietor who they stated was too drunk to take care of it.
A police image of the canine within the car has created a stir on-line, as social media wits claimed the animal’s alternative of gown was a ‘crime towards style’.
Others instructed the officers mahy even have dressed the canine up for the unlikely picture.
Police revealed the image of the dapper canine within the trendy blue shirt on their Twitter.
The canine might be seen with a bemused manner while perched on the police van’s window, while his eyes laser straight down the digicam lens.
British Transport Police within the Midlands defined on Twitter: ‘Yesterday our officers acquired a textual content report concerning a feminine who was intoxicated and never adequately caring for her canine.
‘Officers attended and ensured the welfare of the canine while additional enquiries are ongoing to determine any offences.’
The incident comes shortly after Greater Manchester Police needed to smash right into a campervan to save a Labrador ‘locked inside’.
Users had been tickled by the stylishly dressed canine, with one individual querying the officers: ‘Did you gown the canine up only for the picture?’
To which the police replied: ‘Can verify the style crime was not our doing!’
Another jested: ‘How do I report against the law? That shirt is a style crime.’
One jibbed: ‘I do hope the police officer within the blue t-shirt is sporting a seatbelt LOL.’
Others complimented the pooch saying he was ‘Looking dapper in his lil’ outfit,’ while one individual stated it was stated it was their ‘favorite police image of all time.’
The canine just isn’t at present being sorted by the proprietor and has been positioned in different care in keeping with British Transport Police.
A British Transport Police spokesperson stated: ‘Officers had been known as to Wolverhampton railway station following stories of an intoxicated lady and issues for the welfare of her canine.
‘Officers attended and the canine has been briefly positioned in different care. Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing.’
