A California Ok-9 uncovered kilos of methamphetamine in an unlikely place: containers of canine treats.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office made a Facebook submit concerning the incident on Feb. 15. The site visitors cease occurred Tuesday, when a sheriff’s deputy stopped a car driving by Petaluma.
The car was pushed by suspect Angelina Gutierrez, 41, who was charged with felony transportation of a managed substance.

“During the site visitors cease, the deputy realized the driving force had a misdemeanor arrest warrant out of Mendocino County and was instructed there was a methamphetamine pipe within the car,” the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office defined in a press launch.

Authorities say that the deputy and his Ok-9 then “performed a sniff” of the car, suspecting narcotics.

“(The Ok-9 was) alerted to canine deal with containers within the car,” the sheriff’s workplace described. “The deputy then searched the car and located the canine deal with containers contained packages of methamphetamine.”
