BROWNFIELD — Fire crews from a number of cities responded early Sunday morning to a home fireplace at 417 Dugway Road, based on officers.
Brownfield Fire Department’s Fire Chief Richard Perreault mentioned the hearth was absolutely concerned when firefighters arrived at round 2:45 a.m.
The home’s sole occupant was not damage. However, the home was a complete loss by the point the hearth was knocked down, and the occupant’s canine, which alerted him to the creating blaze, didn’t make it out of the home.
Perreault mentioned the hearth’s trigger will not be but recognized, however the Office of State Fire Marshal is investigating.
Assisting Brownfield Fire have been departments from Denmark, Fryeburg, Saco Valley, Kezar Falls and Center Conway (New Hampshire), Perreault mentioned. A second truck from Fryeburg supplied standby.
