The 16-year-old Sheffield Avenue resident was indicted for petit larceny, felony possession of a weapon, and extra.
A Brooklyn teen was arrested by police after stealing a canine at gunpoint on Christmas day, based on the Queens District Attorney’s workplace.
The 16-year-old Sheffield Avenue resident was indicted for petit larceny, felony possession of a weapon, second diploma menacing, and felony possession of stolen property, amongst different costs, based on a press release launched by district lawyer Melinda Katz.
The Brooklyn youth approached a 15-year-old boy, who was walking his French Bulldog at 9 a.m. on Christmas day in Long Island City, Queens.
The teen pointed a gun on the canine proprietor and ordered him to flee the scene inside 5 seconds. The Queens resident complied after dropping his canine’s leash.
Following the incident, the canine proprietor contacted the police, who later tracked down the Brooklyn resident.
An NYPD officer witnessed the teenager — who was reportedly in possession of the stolen pooch on the time — tossing away a 9 mm firearm over a fence. The gun was later recovered by police officers.
After the teen’s arrest, the bulldog was safely returned to its proprietor, Katz mentioned.
“Pulling a gun in broad daylight to steal a dog and then casually taking the animal for a stroll is a kind of dangerous brazenness we will not tolerate under any circumstance,” mentioned Katz.
