A Brookline girl is dealing with animal cruelty costs involving two separate dogs, considered one of which is a Golden Retriever puppy that was rescued in “emaciated” situation in January, officers stated.

Mary Sellitto, 29, is scheduled to be arraigned subsequent week on two counts of animal cruelty and one depend of deceptive investigators, MSPCA Law Enforcement introduced Wednesday.

Sellitto’s costs are partially associated to Brooke, a Golden Retriever puppy that was present in Brookline in late January. Rescuers described the canine as “emaciated” and in “bad shape” when she arrived at MSPCA’s shelter.

Another “very underweight” canine was discovered on the girl’s home and eliminated on Feb. 2.

At the time, officers have been searching for details about Brooke’s proprietor.

“We asked the public for assistance identifying Brooke’s owner shortly after she came to the hospital, and we’re grateful for their interest in helping this dog,” stated MSPCA Law Enforcement Director Tom Grenham in an announcement. “We’re glad our Law Enforcement team was able to bring this investigation to conclusion.”

Brooke has since discovered a everlasting home with the person who fostered her, and the adoption turned official March 11, MSPCA stated in a post. The different canine can also be now in good well being and has been adopted, in accordance with MSPCA.
