Brittany Hockley has returned to Instagram with a poignant message amid her feud with fellow Bachelor reject Abbie Chatfield.
Brittany, whose apology for ‘slut-shaming’ was publicly rejected by Abbie this week, shared a clip of herself cuddling her dog looking weary.
‘She just gets it. She feels it. Humans can learn a lot from dogs. They are superior,’ she wrote as she cuddled the pooch.

Interestingly, Abbie posted a very similar update to her Instagram page just hours later, uploading a photo of herself cuddling up to her dog Wally.
‘My lil best friend (uploading this while still in this position),’ she wrote.
The two women locked horns last week after Abbie called out Brittany for apparent slut-shaming on the radio.

Abbie lashed out on Tuesday after learning Brittany had joked about her dating life while interviewing American rapper Yung Gravy.
While host Kyle Sandilands was the one leading the conversation, Abbie said Brittany was complicit in his ‘misogyny’ by remaining silent.
Brittany posted a statement on Instagram on Wednesday in which she apologised for her involvement in the ‘misogynistic’ jokes, and insisted she has always been an advocate for female empowerment.

‘I want to apologise for the undercurrent misogynistic tones the interview had,’ she began.
‘The nature of live radio is unpredictable and often unplanned, which was the case with the direction the conversation took. Live on radio I found myself in a position where Abbie and I were pitted against each other.’
Brittany, who co-hosts the progressive, female-led podcast Life Uncut, assured her fans she had never meant to ‘make anyone feel shameful’ about enjoying sex.
The Masked Singer judge Abbie said the apology was insufficient and only demonstrated Brittany’s ‘internalised misogyny.’

The former Bachelor star also scolded Brittany for not standing up to her co-host Kyle Sandilands when he said Gravy would need to ‘line up’ if he wanted to date Abbie.
‘Live radio is hard, but if I say something off on air, I message the person immediately. But you didn’t, showing you didn’t feel shameful after doing this. You only realised the very clear issue after I called you out,’ she wrote.
‘Also, you didn’t say as little as possible. You added commentary. You weren’t silent. You asked if we had sexted after Kyle asked if I had sent nudes. You brought me up two more times in total [during the Yung Gravy interview].

‘Don’t blame the segment and live radio. Again, if you can’t hold your own in that environment, maybe it isn’t for you.’
A number of stars weighed in on the fight with Laura Byrne and Megan Marx, both backing Abbie.
The pair slammed her after it was revealed this week she would front FBoy Island, which saw them question Abbie’s feminist credentials.

‘Isn’t it interesting that the only people having a real issue with this show are people I’ve called out for being quite frankly, mean,’ Abbie began her rant.
‘I can promise you that women have complete control and know what is going on. And I help them to know what the f**k is going on,’ she said.
She went on to claim Megan and Laura haven’t addressed feminist or social justice issues in the past.
She hit back after Laura and Megan labelled Abbie a hypocrite for calling out Brittany for her supposedly misogynistic behaviour – only to be announced as the presenter of a problematic new dating show Fboy Island just two days later
‘When have you ever heard them speak about any feminist issues that were difficult to speak about?’ she said. ‘When have you ever heard them speak about any kind of intersectional issues? When Have they ever done anything for women or for social justice?
‘Don’t be opportunistic and try to use this as a way to say ‘I won.’ You were still sexist. Well done.’
‘Keep in mind Laura’s whole issue with this whole thing would not have happened and she wouldn’t be feeling defensive and upset if her co-hosts hadn’t have slut-shamed me and if she wasn’t being scared of losing the listeners on her podcast, or scared that it makes her name look bad,’ she continued.
In another post, Abbie wrote in aim at Laura: ‘Also me being EMPLOYED by a show you (wrongly) think isn’t fully empowering women is worse than clear, blatant slut-shaming?’
”That’s so random! Friends hold friends to account, hope you’ve done the same.’
