Luna was his companion and co-pilot, going everywhere he went. It didn’t matter if it was snorkeling, swimming or browsing. She was undoubtedly a water canine.
“She would stay in the water for hours. People would say, ‘She’s going to drown!’ I’d say, ‘No. No way. She’ll go back to the shore if she wants to,” Alika stated.
Luna was a little bit of a star in Hawaii. Hawaii News Now and different media retailers did tales about her. And she was the star of her personal Instagram web page, and her power was unstoppable.
“She would tow pull me on the skateboard for miles,” Alika stated.
Her life was like one thing out of a film.
During a street journey in Central America, Luna was mauled by different dogs and practically died. Then she contracted a virus that almost killed her, and there have been her bouts with most cancers.
It was like she was a canine with 9 lives. She all the time bounced again.
“I was always told she’s too old for surgery. But she was so strong and her heart was so good, her vitals were so good. I was like, ‘Let’s do it. I know she can pull through,’” Alika stated.
Luna was recognized by lots of people within the browsing group. Alika and his spouse, Jeanette, entered her in Duke’s OceanFest the place she would trip waves.
