Summer is best around the corner and 2 Boise dog owners collaborated to compose a book about 80 routes, courses and parks that are terrific to check out with your furry good friends.

Matt Clark and Diana Burrell like to trek with their dogs and discovered often they are on a path and there’s either inadequate shade, water or the tread wasn’t rather best for paws. Their book “The Hiker’s Guide: Treasure Valley Dog Hikes & Walks” happened after they talked with Scott Marchant, who has actually been composing hiker’s manuals for numerous years.

The book talks about subjects like safety, preparation and bringing adequate water for your dogs. They likewise provided path concepts for older dogs or dogs with brief legs, like Barbara Park Path, the Greenbelt and routes by Celebration Park in Canyon County.

Burrell said all the routes discussed in the book, like Table Rock and Anchor Butte near Swan Falls Dam, are within 90 minutes of Meridian. Their preferred locations to choose their dogs are Seaman’s Gulch Complex, Pinnacle Point and Amity Dog Park in Nampa.

Clark and Burrell will be at Rediscovered Books in downtown Boise for a book finalizing on Thursday, May 4, so bring your dogs and get a copy prior to your next walking.
