It’s a beer that looks simply as good as it tastes, with cans too adorable to squash.
Bike Dog Brewing Company and the Sacramento SPCA signed up with forces to develop Forever Home, an IPA that includes the SPCA’s alumni.
“[It’s a] 6.5% West Coast IPA, good and smooth, 2 various 4 packs with a various dog or cat on each can,” said Sage Smith, co-owner of Bike Dog.
That consists of animals like Nellie who defied the chances. She was promoted for over 6 months by the SPCA prior to she discovered a permanently home in Jennifer Styduhar.
“She fit in the palm of a hand and she was so small, and they didn’t believe she was going to make it through,” Styduhar said. “And simply to see her grow and stand firm, it was truly capitivating.”
Nine years later on, Nellie weighs 3 pounds and is almost the size of her image on the can. Meanwhile, these IPAs are a tip of the countless animals who are still searching for their permanently houses.
“We’re not going to quit on that animal. We’re going to do whatever we can to ensure they have a happy, caring home and they’re going to be healthy no matter what regardless of the scenario they are given us,” said Jessica Miller, senior occasion manufacturer with the Sacramento SPCA.
Folks brought their pups — and filled their cups at the release celebration.
Saying “cheers” to the success stories — and the ones yet to come.
