The following story highlights why there’ll always be an England:

At the veddy British roadway circuit/estate called Goodwood 2 hours south of London, ultimate British car business Bentley will host … well, two dog-day afternoons commemorating dogs and their owners and including unique treats for dogs called … well, Bentley.

The affair on May 20-21, referred to as “a grand celebration of all things dog,” is officially part of the yearly “Goodwoof” celebration. Owners of Bentleys (car or dog) will get to Bentley’s VIP location, and a fleet of
Bentayga luxury 4x4s will offer “extra bark and growl to a range of activities that will give dogs and their human friends a wonderful weekend – or a great Dane out.” Oof.

So, all dogs are welcome, however it’s more enjoyable if you chauffeur your dog called Bentley to the celebration in a Bentley. Both driver and family pet will be approved access to the Bentley Barking Paddock, a parking area simply for them with simple access to “The Kennels,” the West Sussex estate’s main clubhouse. (Preferential parking alone might indicate some dogs with other names will discover themselves briefly responsing to “Bentley” that weekend.)

The dogs will complete in some dog-ish contests. Humans will enjoy field and path presentations and hear talks from dog professionals and celeb owners. Bentleys (the cars and trucks) will in some way contribute in rounding up competitors. Of course, there’ll be “plenty of treats for those on both two and four legs,” the organizers state. On the very first day, a celebratory “parade of poodles,” led by Goodwood’s the Duke of Richmond, will take spotlight on the estate premises. Also prepared is a display screen of dog house architecture called, um, Barkitecture. And an image cubicle will be established in a Bentayaga for “pup-arazzi” memento images.

Goodwoof advantages a British charity called Pets as Therapy.  There’s more information for preparing a journey here.
