A surprised South Yorkshire canine over has informed of the second her pet Jack Russell ‘spoke’ her identify.

Ellie Chapman, aged 20, was left delighted by the “particular” second and even recorded it on video present present what occurred.

She believes 10-year-old Jack Russell Ozzy mentioned “Ellie” in a clip captured at her home in Barnsley.

The canine lives together with her, her brother and her parents – and doesn’t say any of their names.

Bar employee Ellie mentioned: “I could not imagine it when he first mentioned my identify – it was so particular.

“Once he mentioned ‘I really like you’ – it was so clear. I say that to him on a regular basis.”

Ozzy, who’s been a household pet since he was a pup and lives with Ellie, brother Owen, 25, and their dad and mom Jill, 45, and Frazer, 44, began howling on the garbage truck 5 years in the past.

It made the household snicker, and, satisfied he was making an attempt to speak, Ellie began asking him to say her identify.

He started saying ‘Ellie’ in 2021, and now performs the marvel for her a number of instances every week, she mentioned.

She mentioned: “We all simply repeated my identify in a sort of howling manner.

“We’ve tried Owen, mum and pop’s names too but it surely simply doesn’t work the identical.

“He all the time involves me so I believe that’s why he’s saying my identify.”
