Police are examining a tried theft in Larne after a home owner looked out to a break in by the family dog.
Shortly after 4.30pm on Thursday, March 30, it was reported that a man attempted to get entry to a property in the Gloucester Avenue location.
PSNI Detective Sergeant Crothers said: “The resident of the property looked out to the tried entry by the barking of his dog and saw a man diminish his path. He offered chase to the man, which resulted in a run-in in the Victoria Road location.

“It was reported that a 2nd man signed up with the very first because location prior to they left in the instructions of Exchange Road..
“The 2 guys are referred to as in their late 20s, using dark clothes and both roughly 5ft 8in in height. Both were of medium build with dark hair.”
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and details and said: “We would attract anybody who remained in the location at the time who knows which might help our examination, or who might have caught any dash webcam or cellphone video footage, to call 101, and quote recommendation number 1425 of 30/03/23.”
