GRAND RAPIDS, MI– An authorities dog suffered major stab injuries early Monday, Nov. 14, throughout an over night standoff with a guy who fired several gunshots, Grand Rapids authorities stated.
The dog suffered possibly deadly injuries.
The event started prior to 8 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Leonard Street NW, near Valley Opportunity. Authorities were trying to find an attack suspect when they saw the 24-year-old Grand Rapids male go into a house on Leonard Street.
The suspect attempted to run away, shooting a number of gunshots, then returned into your home. Authorities then heard extra shots fired.
Authorities surrounded your home and attempted to get in touch with the suspect throughout hours. Around 3 a.m., authorities released a K9 that was then stabbed by the suspect. Authorities jailed the suspect a brief time later on.
The dog was required to an animal health center.
The Authorities Department’s Significant Case Group investigators, Unique Reaction groups, crisis arbitrators and patrol officers were associated with the event. Kent County constable’s deputies, Wyoming and Walker law enforcement officers and state authorities cannon fodders helped.
