An Arnold lady is implicated of shooting and eliminating her dog on Sunday.
Arnold cops charged Susan Mullenax, 49, of Alcoa Drive with a felony count of exacerbated cruelty to animals. She was arraigned Sunday and launched from the Westmoreland County prison after an expert bail bondsman published her $25,000 bail, according to court records.
In a criminal problem, cops said a friend of Mullenax strolled into the police headquarters and informed them Mullenax had actually called him and said she had actually killed her dog. He said he thought her and desired an officer to inspect her home.
Police said that while an officer was taking the man’s report, he called Mullenax and asked, “What happened to the dog, Susan?”
According to the problem, Mullenax informed the man that she had actually killed the dog and if he was going to call the cops that he need to do it now or she was going to sleep. After Mullenax was informed an officer existed and asked if the dog lived or dead, she specified that the dog was dead, that she had actually killed it which it remained in the garage, cops said.
Police said they discovered Mullenax at the back of her home, swaying and stumbling around prior to resting on a maintaining wall. Asked where the dog was, she indicated the garage, the problem said.
Police said officers got in the garage with Mullenax and discovered the dog in a garbage bag with a plainly noticeable gunshot injury to the shoulder and neck. Mullenax was then positioned under arrest.
Police said Mullenax led officers into her home to obtain the gun, recognized as a .357.
Police did not state the number of times the dog had actually been shot however the problem mentions that the weapon included 4 invested cases and one unstruck live round in the chamber hole. One slug was recuperated, cops said.
Mullenax is scheduled for an initial hearing June 22.
