There has been widespread shock and outrage after Gardaí seized a puppy being ‘traded for medicine’ in Dublin metropolis centre.
A Cork-based animal charity rushed to the rescue on Monday night time, and picked up the 3-week-old pup from Kevin Street Garda station.
Martina Kenny from ‘My Lovely Horse Rescue’ thanked Gardaí for stepping in once they did.
Speaking to Newstalk, she stated: “She is so tiny and so young, possibly three weeks old. She is unquestionably malnourished and really skinny. She wants a variety of veterinary care and plenty of TLC.”
In a publish on their Facebook web page, the charity stated: “Baby Annabel. This harmless little soul was exchanged for medicine within the early hours of this morning in Dublin City. She’s doing good, on puppy milk and lapping it up. We love her.
“Thank you once more, An Garda Síochána from Kevin Street Dublin, for all of your assist. We’ll maintain everybody up to date on how child Annabel is doing.
“If you’d wish to donate in direction of her care please do, we want all the assistance we are able to get.”
