Andy Cohen reunites with Wacha

In a June 14 Instagram post, Andy shared photos that revealed him reuniting with his four-legged love. “Saw an old friend yesterday,” he captioned the post. “It was heaven.”

The accompanying images revealed Wacha and Andy looking adoringly into each other’s eyes and Andy passionately nuzzling the dog’s head. Andy likewise shared an Instagram Story, in which Wacha provided him a huge kiss on the cheek. Andy might not have actually looked more happy by the slobbery display screen of love.

Even when he and Wacha aren’t together, Andy stays up to date with the dog he loves. Back in 2021, he even shared an update about the pooch’s blossoming interest in chickens on WWHL. After an audience asked how Wacha was performing in his brand-new home, Andy shared: “He’s good. He’s in Vermont, and he saw some chickens today that he was trying to attack. He’s very busy doing dog things.”

But Wacha isn’t too hectic to spend a long time with an old friend. Check out these lovable reunion images listed below and attempt not to get teary-eyed. (That didn’t work for Margaret Josephs, who commented, “I’m crying.”)

Why did Andy rehome Wacha?

Andy initially embraced Wacha from a Virginia shelter back in 2013. In 2020, after he invited his infant, Benjamin, the talk program host needed to make a difficult choice.

In a psychological Instagram post, Andy composed: “I’ve delayed sharing this news as long as I could. As you might understand, Wacha is my very first infant, my stunning rescue puppy. He is my pride and happiness. When he entered my life, my world altered. Over the almost 7 years that I’ve been blessed to have actually Wacha in my life, we have worked to deal with some periodic random indications of hostility. No effort was spared in the effort to help Wacha feel changed. After an occurrence a couple of months earlier, various experts led me to the conclusion that my home is merely not a good location for him. Keeping him here might be devastating for Ben and even worse for Wacha. The good news is that he now has a long-term home with his 2nd family, in the location he lived every time I headed out of town.”

Andy’s post continued: “He is flourishing. We still see each other, however a piece of my heart is gone. I miss his weight on top of me very first thing in the early morning. I miss him awaiting me in front of the shower. And I miss out on the noise of his paws on the flooring when I come home. I am not the very same individual I was when I got him. My dog altered me. He opened me approximately like.. to caring… and eventually to having a family. When I think about him – let’s be truthful, when don’t I think about him – it’s with the clearness that we were implied to come into each other’s lives precisely when we did, which he’s happy, which provides me comfort. We did rescue each other. Thank you, Wacha.”

To this day, a piece of Wacha stays in the WWHL Clubhouse. Check out the clip above to get a glance of Wacha’s on-set dog bed and a luxurious variation of the cherished pooch.
