A 10-foot-long alligator killed an elderly Florida lady on Monday after it dragged her into a lake while she strolled her dog.
The attack happened around 12 p.m. at the Spanish Lakes Fairways neighborhood in St. Lucie County, when locals said the big alligator emerged from the water and took her, according to a report.

The alligator initially pursued the dog prior to turning its attention to the elderly lady, witnesses said.
Authorities reacted to the scene and a St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office helicopter was released to find the predator.
Trappers found the alligator, approximated to weigh in between 600 to 700 pounds, at the bottom of the lake, where it was caught.
