Border collies, German spitz, bull terriers and cocker spaniels have been amongst greater than 150 dogs vying to see which of man’s greatest pals was the quickest on the weekend.
The Otago Canine Training Club held its jumpers and agility championships at Forrester Park on Saturday and yesterday.
Canines of all sizes and shapes competed within the excessive impression sport, which consisted of a time trial and impediment course.
Organiser Adele Smith stated whereas the dogs have been the celebs of the present, the trainers wanted to be simply as match and cellular to maintain up with their canine companions.
“There’s numerous working for the human as a lot because the canine,” she stated.

Ms Smith stated most dogs had about 20 instructions particularly for agility.
She stated trainers verbally and bodily directed their dogs with a mixture of instructions and physique language.
