An 85 pound Malamute called Hugo adorably sends his human Brian Hanshaft crashing to the ground whenever he adopts a caring hug. Hanshaft initially taught Hugo this technique when he was a little puppy, and it kept going as Hugo grew larger and larger.

Hugo had some medical problems as a puppy. He was blind in one eye and had a liver shunt, in which blood that takes a trip through the portal vein bypasses the liver, triggering it to gather incorrectly. Hanshaft observed there was something incorrect with Hugo. Luckily, he raised adequate funds to get Hugo the life-saving surgical treatment he required.
The surgical treatment that the veterinarian suggested for Hugo was extremely costly however my partner and I made a pact to each other that we would simply never ever quit on our dog. …. we were totally overwhelmed by the actions within 30 hours his whole GoFundMe was filled. We raised enough money to get Hugo’s surgical treatment.
