A cute puppy, whose quirky ears are attracting the attention of people on social media, has won a raffle hosted by the Lancashire Police Dog Unit.
Alfie won a hamper of items including a plush new dog bed, Canin dog food, an animal photoshoot, treats, a frisbee and more.
Alfie’s owners said they “can’t believe he won”. They will be able to enjoy some of the human-friendly treats, such as chocolates and a bottle of wine, that have also been included in the hamper.
A spokesperson for the police dog unit said: “Alfie can’t wait to grow up to fit in his new posh bed
“His mum and dad can’t believe they won and are really looking forward to his photoshoot thanks to the kind generosity of The Pop Up Photographer.
“Thank you to Kate Wilson for donating the bed to us after winning it in another raffle so we could raise money for Retired Police Dogs of Lancashire.
“Times are hard at the minute so we are humbled by everybody’s generosity.”
The winner of the raffle was chosen by a police dog called Vin.
Since the photo of Alfie was posted to social media dozens of people have commented, particularly about his quirky ears.
One person said: “Gorgeous. Bet he can’t wait to grow into those ears.”
“Congratulations Alfie, you gorgeous boy,” said another.
A third person said: “How did he get his ears to stay up like that? Adorable.”
