ACCT Philly, the main open-intake animal shelter in the city, is providing adoption rewards for homeless pets this Thanksgiving week.
Sarah Barnett, acting co-executive director for the not-for-profit, on Wednesday stated the shelter is complete with more than 100 pets. Recently, more than 140 pets were given the shelter in North Philadelphia, she stated.
On Friday, all adoption charges for pets will be waived, she stated.
” There is such a lack of adopters today, and it’s heartbreaking to see truly excellent pets being in a kennel … waiting on somebody who might never ever come,” Barnett stated in a declaration.
” We hope that individuals thinking about embracing will decide to embrace in your area, and conserve a life by embracing from the shelter,” Barnett stated.
Individuals thinking about embracing are motivated to submit an online application ahead of going to the shelter at 111 W. Searching Park Ave.
The shelter will be open Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
