SAVANNAH, Ga. — An animal rescue in seaside Georgia is looking for who dedicated the “heinous act” of shooting and eliminating a family’s cherished foster dog.
A 4-year-old dog called Harvey, whose label was Skippy, was discovered shot to death at the end of a driveway off Whitfield Avenue in Savannah. The shooting occurred in the middle of the day, leaving his foster family ravaged.
“No foster should ever have to go through this or worry about this,” Victoria Diaz Carlson told WJCL-TV.

Carlson said Harvey got away the backyard around 11 a.m. Thirty minutes later on, they got a call about his body being discovered.
“We just could not believe the fact that someone could do this to a dog who was so friendly.”
The Carlson family said they had actually been promoting Harvey for the previous 6 months. One Love Family animal rescue had actually taken in the hound mix after he was discovered living in the woods for months. The rescue grieves the life that was drawn from Harvey.

“He was killed by a broadside shot that was likely placed from a distance, as a thought out act to kill. How could anyone commit such a heinous act? The rescue submitted an authorities report with the Chatham County authorities department. It likewise requests for anybody who had electronic camera video from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the community to connect to its co-founder Karrie Bulski at [email protected] or detectives.
“Neighbors have been so helpful with providing statements and support. We are asking everyone to share our story in hopes to protect others. We will get justice for Harvey Elwood and a sense of security for our community.”
