FLORIDA — A 6-year-old Florida boy is dead after being whipped by among his family dogs on Tuesday early morning in his North Port home.
Police officers in the city of North Port, in Sarasota County, hurried to a home on the 2700 block of Badger Lane on Tuesday around 10:30 a.m. after reports of a dog bite, authorities said.
The injured boy was flown to a healthcare facility with “comprehensive distressing injuries.” He was then moved to a 2nd health center, where he passed away.
“Dog remained in the bed room. Child strolled into bed room to get something. Next thing you understand, individuals heard shouting and delved into action.” said Josh Taylor, the general public details officer of the North Port, Florida, cops department.
The dog, a 3-year-old pit bull mix, was taken by the Sarasota County Animal Services, cops said. Police do not understand of any previous events including the dog’s habits.
