2 dogs recovering in IVAR’s care after rescued from Utica residence – Shaw Native

Two dogs are recovering in foster care after being rescued from a residence in Utica.

Chris Tomsha, of Illinois Valley Animal Rescue, mentioned the organizations labored with authorities to take a Great Dane and a golden doodle into their custody after a neighborhood member observed they had been malnourished.

A 2 1/2 year-old male Great Dane was taken Sept. 5 by a volunteer to a veterinary workplace, the place it was reported the canine was 25 kilos underweight and going through a critical flea infestation. The following day, one other canine, a 4-year-old feminine golden doodle was taken by IVAR on to an space vet from the identical residence. According to Tomsha, the second canine could not have lived for much longer due to a critical flea downside.
