Winnipeg fireplace crews saved an unresponsive cat after a fireplace on Christmas Eve.
The metropolis says crews went to a one and half-storey, single-family home within the 700 block of Mountain Avenue ten minutes previous 9 p.m.
Upon arrival, crews noticed smoke and flames coming from the home. The fireplace was extinguished from the within and was below management by 10:37 p.m.

All members of the family received out safely and a neighbouring home was evacuated as a precaution.
Firefighters discovered one unresponsive cat within the home. Resuscitation efforts had been profitable and the cat was returned to its proprietor.
The metropolis says the hearth appears to have been unintentionally attributable to a propane deep fryer getting used close to the skin of the home.
