OH no – the phantom cat shaver is again.
There have been reviews on social media {that a} village cat has been focused this month.
Last June the Newbury Weekly News highlighted how pet homeowners in Hungerford and Lambourn have been on the alert following reviews of cats being kidnapped and shaved.
The weird incidents have been reported throughout the south east – and, to at the present time, nobody is aware of why.
In London, the RSPCA warned homeowners to maintain their pets indoors the place doable.
And the charity Animals Lost and Found has revealed an interactive map of incidents the place felines have been partially shaved (pictured).
Several cat homeowners contacted the NWN to say their pets had been shaved in numerous spots.
This week, one proprietor from Lambourn posted on social media: “Keep your cats inside – the phantom cat shaver is about again.”
Another posted: “My cat has been shaved constantly for months now…it’s weird.”
Experts say the expertise of being grabbed, held down and shaved by a stranger is, unsurprisingly, traumatising for felines.
