After missing out on for 9 years, Piper the cat is back home with her owner.
Earlier today, a resident called Henrico County Police’s Animal Protection Unit about a roaming cat that would not leave their deck.

After calling around, authorities had the ability to find the owner and provided a call. Piper was scanned and discovered to have a microchip. But she was missing out on for so long, the owner had her noted as departed with the microchip business.
“While this white-gloved feline has actually had a long time to herself, we sure are delighted to see Piper back with her owner,” the authorities department said in a tweet. “The ethical of the story, microchips help animals return to their family.
