The City of Weatherford says 21-year-old Gabriel Caswell was jailed late last month.

Over the previous couple of months, the Weatherford Animal Shelter saw a boost in kitten deaths, according to the city.

Originally, the shelter thought the deaths were disease-related, however tests on the departed animals did disappoint any indications of disease.

On July 14, an animal shelter team member called authorities stating that they had actually seen Caswell, a worker at the animal shelter, hurting a black kitten to the point where it was not anticipated to live.

“Our shelter staff and volunteers take fantastic pride in the love and care offered to the animals that visit our shelter. For something like this to occur is abstruse, and we are sad by the damage triggered,” said the city in a declaration.

Police state more charges might be coming depending upon what proof they discover. 

Police records reveal Caswell published bail on July 30. If founded guilty, it might suggest prison time and fines.
