A botched police raid in Geneva ended up saving 17 cats from dwelling in squalor.
In June in 2023 police had been looking for armed theft suspect – however broke into the mistaken home.
There they discovered the cats in soiled situations with a robust scent of ammonia.
The Cantonal Veterinary Service had been referred to as to make an inspection. They stated the animals didn’t have access to meals or water and the litter trays had been overflowing.
Authorities instantly ordered the seizure of the cats – which had been primarily the uncommon breed Sphynx cats, identified for his or her affectionate nature and being hairless.
After a number of appeals, the cat house owners misplaced their case to have them returned and had been fined CHF 900 by the Federal Court.
