Maraud was a pub cat on the Birdcage within the Norwich Lanes which closed completely in October 2020 and has since turn out to be The Drawing Rooms.
The 19-year-old handed away from old age at home on Wednesday.
Lauren Gregory, Maraud’s proprietor, stated: “Many folks bear in mind him as a result of he sat very stoically on the bar and even ate chips from peoples’ tables.
“I’m actually touched that so many individuals are sharing reminiscences.

“He has a very vital place in our hearts and it seems so many different folks’s hearts too.”
Debra Knowles stated on Facebook that Maraud was “the good cat within the Lanes” who lived “an extended and completely happy life”.
Rick Lennox described him as “a real Lanes legend” and Bethan Harvey stated “I really feel like he is been round all my life”.
Ms Gregory adopted Maraud when he was a kitten again in 2005 and he lived on the Birdcage till the coronavirus lockdowns in 2020.
A consultant for the Norwich Lanes stated: “Maraud was a stunning cat that spent most of his life in his favorite pub or exploring the remainder of the Norwich Lanes.
“We will probably be elevating a glass tonight – farewell our fluffy good friend.”
