Feb. 17 (UPI) — Animal rescuers in Britain got the help of a tree cutting service to rescue a cat that invested 2 days stranded in a tree about 50 feet over the ground.
The RSPCA said the owners of the feline called the organization after they were not able to coax the cat below the tree in Keighley, West Yorkshire.

RSPCA animal rescue officer Emmeline Myall reacted to the place and called regional firemens for help, however the department did not have sufficient equipment to reach the cat’s perch.
Myall got the help of Airedale Tree Surgeons, which sent 3 tree-trimmers to help with the rescue.
“The most safe method to rescue the cat was by abseiling him pull back. Thankfully tree cosmetic surgeon Toby was brave enough to scale such a height to securely bring the cat down,” Myall said in the RSPCA press release. “Once he was down, the cat ran and concealed in a bunny burrow — it’d been rather an experience for him! But gladly he was unscathed and his owners were so relieved for him to go home.”
