The Puget Sound area has a happy history of animals riding public transit, and 17-year-old cat and routine ferryboat rider Betty is no exception.
Betty’s owner is Everett Herald reporter Andrea Brownwho informed the ferryboat service that she utilized to keep Betty in a family pet provider in her car throughout cruisings. Betty disagreed with that method, and after she “meowed nonstop,” was blurt to roam and people-watch moving on.
Today, she’s ridden the ferryboat “up to a hundred times” over the last 2 years of experiences throughout the water with her owner.
