Would you rather spend your spare time huddled at home, as “folklore” or “evermore” plays in the background, than head out and be around individuals? Are you searching for a feline friend who likewise takes pleasure in subtle nights?
MSPCA-Angell and the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem might have the ideal cat for you.
A 1-year-old black and white domestic shorthair called A Taylor Swift Fan — more on that in a 2nd — is all set to discover his furever home and “hopes that once he’s adopted he never ever gets back together with the shelter,” staff informed Boston.com through a representative.
A Taylor Swift Fan got to the shelter in Salem on April 15 through a transportation of cats from Texas. He was formerly called Screamer due to the fact that he likes to speak loudly when he’s nervous or thrilled, according to staff.
But one day, while cleaning up the cat spaces, staffers were listening to Swift’s 2022 album, “Midnights,” when they saw the anxious cat appeared to relax as quickly as he heard the singer-songwriter’s music.
Knowing he’s an especially anxious cat and wishing to get him a bit more attention from prospective adopters, the shelter staff relabelled him after his preferred artist.
The perfect home for A Taylor Swift Fan would be calm and peaceful — other than for “Anti-Hero” using repeat in the background, naturally. The perfect adopter would be client and understanding of social stress and anxiety.
“Transitions have been hard for this guy, and we expect he will take lots of time settling into a new home,” his adoption profile checks out. “He tends to keep to himself and his suitable home will offer him with his own space to pull back to when required.
“His new family should have low expectations for him when it comes to being a typical social, playful cat,” the profile continued. “We cannot be sure if or when he will begin soliciting attention or playing with his new owners due to his unknown history.”
