Meet Rojiman and Umatan, a Japanese couple identified for crafting tiny, cute hats utilizing the fur their cats, Nya, Maru and Mugi, naturally shed.
Their artistic journey started when Umatan, having simply completed brushing their cat, collected the stray hairs from the comb and stacked them one upon one other. The hairs piled up, resembling a miniature mountain. Curiously, she determined to position this hairpile atop the cat’s head, and the feline responded with a remarkably clear expression. “It was so surreal, but so cute, that I wished to make one thing extra with the hair. I believed that if the pile of hair was extra like a hat, it could be simpler to place it on the cat’s head. I pressed and rubbed the hairs with my arms to check them, they usually hardened like felt, so I formed them in order that the cat’s head would match into them. That was the primary hat I made, the Acorn Hat,” Umatan informed Bored Panda.
But the artists’ creativity did not cease at hats. They expanded their repertoire to incorporate wigs, animal ears, crowns, helmets, and different charming headpieces.
Umatan takes the lead in designing these charming equipment, whereas Rojiman captures their cats displaying off the creations on digicam. Take a peek at a few of their best creations under!
