Cat Deeley has revealed the actual cause why she and her household returned to the UK after 14 years within the US.
This week, the 47-year-old presenter will take over as host of This Morning alongside Ben Shephard, changing Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield.
Upon their return home, Cat’s husband, Patrick Kielty landed a brand new gig because the host of The Late Late Show, changing Ryan Tubridy.
According to The Sun, a terrifying gun ordeal is what led the household to make the choice to go away the States.
According to the publication, the household had been consuming in a Shake Shack restaurant in Los Angeles when emergency sirens began to go off.
In a 2020 interview Cat revealed: “Everyone was told to lie behind the counter or pushed into the loos. People were screaming and crying.”
“Then, as they were all hiding, the FBI turned up with guns.”
She continued: “Paddy kept Milo calm — he didn’t really know what was going on.”
“As I was driving, I began to see helicopters, news vans, firemen and armed police response squads.”
She went on: “It makes me go funny now. It was terrifying. Paddy was shaken by it, more than Milo, who didn’t properly understand.”
“The gun laws in America are crazy.”
Cat reportedly started planning to go away the US shortly after the scare.
