In simply 12 hours the kittens and cats have been discovered by Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary of Bleakholt Farm in Bury.

A consultant of the sanctuary mentioned: “Bleakholt, similar to each native cat rescue, are struggling to deal with the huge numbers of cats needing their assist.

“This has been one of many worst years we now have identified for cats needing our assist and we now have additionally seen an enormous improve in cats coming to the Sanctuary needing emergency veterinary care.

“Many of the situations cats are coming into the sanctuary would have been prevented if cats have been vaccinated and had basic flea and worming therapy.”

Originating in 1957, the Sanctuary at Bleakholt Farm was fashioned by Olive Lomas who saved a donkey named Maudie from slaughter.

In 1968 Bleakholt grew to become a registered charity, and so they now discover properties for over 1,300 animals a yr.

Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary urges all house owners of cats to get them neutered, as there are too many undesirable cats and kittens, and rescues are ‘actually struggling’ to assist all that want them.
