Taylor Swift, SZA, and Doja Cat lead the nominations for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, with eight, six, and 5 nods every, respectively.
Swift is nominated for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Video, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction for her “Anti-Hero” music video. She can also be nominated for Artist of the Year, alongside SZA, Doja Cat, Karol G, Shakira, and Beyoncé.
SZA is nominated for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best RnB Video, Best Art Direction for “Shirt”, Best Editing, Best Direction for her “Kill Bill” music video.
Doja Cat is nominated for Video of the Year, Art Direction, Best Collaboration, Best Direction, and Artist of the Year for her songs “Attention” and “I Like You” that includes Post Malone.
Other artists with a number of nominations embrace Kim Petras (5), Miley Cyrus (5), Nicki Minaj (5), Olivia Rodrigo (5), and Sam Smith (5).
The 2023 MTV VMAs shall be held on September 12 on the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Fan voting begins on August 9.
