EAST HAVEN — An arrest has been made in reference to a March 17 home invasion geared toward stealing a high-value cat, East Haven Police Department introduced.
William Pagan, born March 13, 2001, of Bristol Street, New Haven, was apprehended following an investigation into the incident.
Police say Pagan forcibly entered a residence on Thompson Street, allegedly trying to find the costly feline.
Detective Jon Trinh, after gathering proof of Pagan’s involvement, secured an arrest warrant.
With assist from the West Haven Police Department, Pagan was taken into custody at 59 Glade Street, West Haven.
Pagan faces prices together with Home Invasion, Conspiracy to Commit Home Invasion, Threatening within the Second Degree, Unlawful Restraint within the First Degree, and Larceny within the Sixth Degree.
Held on a $750,000 court-set bond, he appeared earlier than a decide this morning at G.A. 23, 121 Elm Street, New Haven.
The authentic incident, as per the press launch dated March 18, was reported by a Thompson Street resident on March 17.
Two armed suspects had entered the home by a rear slider door and demanded the resident’s cat.
Despite makes an attempt to stop entry, the suspects broke in and looked for the cat, however the resident managed to fend them off.
They left empty-handed in a blue BMW, which was later present in Hamden and seized for proof.
Detectives have decided the attack was focused, with the events identified to one another, and are persevering with their investigation.
No accidents have been reported in the course of the incident.
