A terrified orange tabby was rescued from the center of a heavy-traffic expressway in Brownsville, Texas by a compassionate Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) worker who seen the cat in want, a TxDOT Public Information Officer informed Lady Freethinker.
Oscar Pantoja De la Garza — a newly-hired TxDOT worker — noticed the frightened feline stranded in the course of I-69E. The cat was desperately clinging to a concrete median signal base and unable to cross the highway.
Cars had been dashing by and the candy cat appeared in pressing want of assist.
Braving visitors, De La Garza hurried to the cat and managed to carry the tabby to security.
The cat’s aid at being rescued was clear because the tabby relaxed into the arms of one of many rescuers.
De la Garza then discovered an area rescue to foster the feline till the cat discovered a secure and loving without end home.
Lady Freethinker applauds De la Garza for going the additional mile to carry this candy tabby to security.
