Shoppers are threatening to boycott a Tesco retailer after a cat that has change into a favorite with prospects has been banned.

Pet lovers in Hornsea, north Yorkshire, are outraged and threatening to not come again to the store after Lincoln – who has been lounging within the retailer for 3 years – received’t be allowed again.

Due to ‘health and safety’ causes, Tesco stated it’ll now ‘gently encourage’ native movie star Lincoln to depart the shop lobby, the place he typically sits on baggage of compost to greet prospects.

One passionate fan of Lincoln instructed the BBC: ‘This will be my last visit to Tesco if Lincoln isn’t reinstated.

‘They won’t be getting one other penny out of me. He simply brightens your day while you see him. He’s simply so pretty, so affectionate.’

Lincoln’s proprietor Lorraine Clarke stated: ‘We get people messaging us saying they might be anxious when they go outdoors, or they find shopping anxious and seeing Lincoln helps with things like that.

‘It’s like he appears to know he’s making folks really feel joyful or it cheers folks up.’

Even as consumers flock to pet Lincoln’s orange and white head as they go by, retailer heads have banned the beloved pet.

Tesco stated in a press release: ‘For health and safety reasons, if he makes his way inside our colleagues will gently encourage him out again.’

Clarke stated she would attempt to preserve her pet away from the store however could wrestle to maintain Lincoln away from his favorite place.

She added: ‘I can’t say to Lincoln, ‘I’m sorry son you’re not allowed to Tesco at present’, he’ll go wherever he needs to go. If he’s sat in there, he’s not doing anybody any hurt.’

Another Tesco cat was banned after members of workers known as him a ‘hindrance and a pain’ – however Pumpkin the cat defied the ban and returned to his native store in Norwich.
