A Beaumont man implicated of fatally abusing a cat on video stays at big after stopping working to appear for his court date.
Donaldvan Williams, 28, charges of animal squashing, which is specified by the law as “actual conduct in which one or more living non-human mammals, birds, reptiles, or amphibians, is purposely crushed, burned, drowned, suffocated, impaled, or otherwise subjected to serious bodily injury.”
Co-offender, Decorius Mire, 23 of Beaumont, pleaded guilty on Feb. 21 to animal squashing prior to U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone, although he hasn’t been sentenced yet.

On Oct. 15, 2021 Beaumont cops got an idea from Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas about a video apparently revealing the 28-year-old man provide a cat narcotics, kicking it and setting it on fire leading to the cat’s death, Beaumont cops spokesperson Carol Riley said.
Mire shot the occasion with his cellular phone and published the video on his social networks accounts, according to info provided in court.
After even more examination, cops found out that the video was handled the 5000 block of Helbig Road and were then able to recognize Mire and the 28-year-old man.
Both males confront 7 years in federal jail if founded guilty.
