SALINAS, Calif, (KION-TV): Salinas Fire conserved 2 kittycats from a house fire that took place on the 300 block of Hayes Street on Sunday early morning.
Firemens informed KION they reacted to a house fire that happened from an upstairs apartment or condo system around 10 a.m.
Firemens stated that the fire was originating from the wall heating unit within the upstairs system. The system did not have any noticeable flames however had grey smoke. The 2 individuals who live within the apartment or condo did leave and had no injuries.
The 2 kittycats were discovered within a kennel in the cooking area and were saved by 2 firemens. The kittycats were reunited with their owners.
Firemens stated the apartment or condo system is presently livable due to the smoke damage within the system. The 2 residents were displaced and dealing with the apartment building owner on discovering a short-lived location to live.
The reason for the fire is still under examination.
