The RSPCA is investigating a spate of suspected cat poisonings in Angle Vale, north of Adelaide.
Nine cats have been discovered lifeless within the space over the previous week.

Kush Ball, a volunteer at Paws Hillbank Haven Rescue, stated some cats have been discovered alive, however in a worrying situation.
“The ones that we found, they had foam and stuff coming from their mouths, they had runny eyes,” Ball stated.
The workforce on the rescue shelter have been working to lure and rehome stray cats within the space.
Volunteer Mikayla Tootell stated the lifeless cats have been discovered to have ingested an “unknown substance”.
“(I’m) heartbroken, it’s not OK … just because they are strays, they don’t deserve this.”
Local Rachel Yacmouis stated she was nervous about her cat named Joey.
“You are horrible people, you’re horrible,” Yacoumis stated of the suspected cat killers.
The RSPCA stated it’s investigating a suspected poisoning incident at Angle Vale.
“Under SA’s Animal Welfare Act, it is illegal to deliberately poison an animal unless it is part of a government authorised control program targeting animals identified as pests,” the RSPCA stated.
“If the allegations made in this report are found to be correct and the person or persons responsible are identified, we may use our legal powers under the act to prosecute.”
