The incident started after a Cambridge OPP officer stopped a car on Highway 7 at Highway 8 in Kitchener, the OPP mentioned in a tweet this morning (Sept. 1).
The officer heard a sound coming from the ditch, police mentioned.
“A few minutes later, as the officer was speaking with the driver, a kitten emerged from the grass and sat at the officer’s feet,” the OPP mentioned.

And fortunately, police rescued the kitten who appeared fairly cozy snuggling as much as an officer.
