Authorities eliminated over two dozen cats from a home Tuesday morning in Holly Springs.
According to a spokesperson for the city, Animal Control responded to issues relating to a number of cats probably being uncared for at a home on the 100 block of Teal Lake Drive.
When officers arrived, they confirmed the presence of a number of cats and found the home had unsanitary residing circumstances.
Authorities deemed the home uninhabitable and eliminated 28 cats from the home.
Animal Control took cats to a shelter within the county. Authorities mentioned the house owner is cooperating with the city of Holly Springs to mitigate the circumstances and take away any remaining animals.
